Confirmation for youth is ordinarily celebrated during the Spring of a student's junior year of high school. Preparation for this sacrament begins in ninth grade and includes instruction (Catholic school or parish school of religion), spiritual formation (retreats and days of recollection), and the development of a sense of sharing in community life.
ADULT CONFIRMATION PREPARATION
For baptized Catholics, ages 18 and older, who are practicing their faith but have not received the Sacrament of Confirmation, you are invited to participate in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary's Adult Confirmation preparation program.
This is a special annual program of adult religious education and formation, organized each year. The individual backgrounds, knowledge, and readiness of the participants are taken into account as each session is developed. Opportunity is given to (re)discover the essentials of our Faith, such as Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition as its foundations; Jesus Christ, our Savior and His message; the Church; our worship and its sacramental system; prayer and spirituality; Catholic social teaching, and more.
The preparation program is offered every spring.
